5 Day Trips You Need To Take

Summer is coming fast; it’s time to start planning your road trips! We have a list of 5 places you and your family need to visit this year. With all being less than 3 and a half hours away, these are definitely doable for a daytrip! Pack up the kids, don’t forget the snacks and sunscreen, and head off to make some memories!

Cobourg Beach (3.25hrs)

Touted as one of the best beaches in Ontario, Cobourg Beach has a little something for everyone. With soft warm sand and the calm blue waters of Lake Ontario, just pack your towel, swimming suit and sunscreen for a fun-filled day that the whole family can enjoy. Enjoy some ice cream on the beach, or rent a kayak or paddleboard for the afternoon!

The perfect getaway; take a break and escape to the Scandinave Spa in Blue Mountain. Here you can get out into nature to relax and re-energize with an abundance of Scandinavian baths and massages. Re-fuel with a light meal and beverage at the cozy bistro.

When you live so close to one of Canada’s greatest tourist attractions it is easy to overlook how magnificent it truly is. Niagara Falls makes for a perfect day trip and if you haven’t been you need to check it off your bucket list! Take a 25-minute detour and indulge in a glass of wine at one of the many wineries.

Blue Mountain (3.17hrs)

You may know Blue Mountain as a winter fun destination but it is worth a visit in the summer as well! With zip-lining, mountain biking, climbing and hiking; you have your pick of adrenaline-filled activities! The town of Collingwood also offers many summer festivals, shopping and dining if you aren’t quite up for all the outdoor activities.

Canada’s Wonderland (2.20hrs)

Buzzing with excitement and adrenaline, Canada’s Wonderland is a perfect day trip for both the young and young-at-heart. Just outside of Toronto in Vaughn, you will find plenty of games and rides for kids and adults. Spend the morning spinning and hanging upside down, and then head to the water park and relax in the lazy river.
