Congratulations to Bill Fuko, the winner of our Summer 2016 Facebook Contest. Bill was the lucky recipient of two weekend passes to the Sarnia/Port Huron International Powerboat Festival concerts, featuring Monster Truck and I Mother Earth. And all he had to do was answer this question!
Does the standard auto policy provide coverage for a rental vehicle in the event of an accident?
The answer: Yes, if the OPCF 20 – Transportation Replacement – has been purchased. There may be some coverage in the basic policy for loss of use by theft if comprehensive or all perils coverage has been purchased. If you depend on your vehicle every day for getting to and from work, it is best to purchase Transportation Replacement coverage.
We realize that some may have needed a hint to answer the question, so contest entrants could find the answer on our website under the Frequently Asked Questions page.
As you can guess, this contest served as a way to encourage our policyholders to view our FAQ webpage. Alongside our fantastic agents and brokers, we are always striving to pass our insurance knowledge along to our policyholders, in order to allow them to make informed insurance purchase decisions. This contest was another means to help in this ongoing commitment to our policyholders!
