The Celebration of Lights is ON for 2016! Thanks to the generous support of the community, you can take a walk along Front Street to enjoy the twinkling, festive displays at this classic community event.

Forest Glen Herb Farm Open House – Lambton Shores
10:00am – 5:00pm, 7 days/week until December 24
If you’ve never visited the herb farm, now’s the time! The open house features products that have been made from culinary and fragrant herbs grown right on the farm. It’s sure to be a tasty treat!

Christmas in the Park – Petrolia
Dec. 2nd, 6:00pm – 8:00pm
An evening for the whole family! Head down to Victoria Park in Petrolia to get in on all the action; chili cook-off, cookies & treats, live nativity scene, music and the Lighting of the Lights. This one’s not to be missed!
Christmas on the Farm – Sarnia
Dec. 2nd, 5:30pm – 9:00pm
Dec. 3rd, 10:00am – 2:00pm
A community classic! Stop by the Animal Farm at Canatara Park and take a horse and carriage ride. Don’t forget to grab some roasted chestnuts and hot apple cider. You can also join the Christmas tree decorating, play traditional Christmas games, decorate cookies and do some caroling. All that thanks to the Seaway Kiwanis Club!
Christmas in the Village – Point Edward
Dec. 3rd, 11:00am – 3:00pm
Is there such thing as too many holiday festivities? We don’t think so! Visit the 7th Annual Christmas in the Village at 116 Michigan Ave. for free hot chocolate and cookies, photo booth pictures and horse and buggy rides. There will also be crafts for kids, a Christmas tree competition, a gingerbread-making competition and acapella singers! Fa la la la la!
Christmas Benefit Concert – Sarnia
Dec. 4th, 2:00pm
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear! Hosted by the Sarnia Bluewater Chordsmen and the Central United Church, this concert features a high school choir, The Accidentals and The Salvation Army Band. Freewill donations will be accepted at the door and all the proceeds will go to the Salvation Army.
Annual Client Appreciation Free Skate
Dec. 11th, 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Clients, their friends and families are invited to join Callister Musico Insurance Group Inc. and Hollis Wealth for an afternoon of skating, hot chocolate and prizes at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena. It’s sure to be a fun afternoon!

Rock n’ Roll Christmas – Sarnia

In the mood for an evening activity that’s a little more upbeat? The Imperial Theatre is hosting a select group of local musicians as they celebrate the season in their “traditional” manner. This will surely be something to see!

The holidays are also a great time to look back and appreciate the year gone by. That’s why the Watford Optimists are holding a Christmas Party at the Watford Centennial Hall for any small business to attend and bring their employees. What a nice way to show your staff you care!

The holidays might be over but the fun sure isn’t! Celebrate the new year in style at the Holiday Inn Point Edward. There will be a light lunch served family-style, party favours, and a champagne toast at midnight. Entertainment will include Suit Up along with DJ music for non-stop dancing to the wee hours of the morning, for auld lang syne.
